Lucknow, July 09: In the last twenty four hours, the number of infections in the state once again crossed one thousand and 1,248 new cases were reported.
Earlier, the number of new infections was 1,196 on Wednesday, 1,346 on Tuesday, 933 on Monday and 1,155 on Sunday. In this way, infection of one thousand new cases is being confirmed continuously for a few days now.
So far 862 people have died due to virus
Additional Chief Secretary, Health Amit Mohan Prasad said on Thursday that the number of active cases of corona in the state has now increased to 10,373 in 75 districts.
At the same time, 21,127 people have been sent back to their respective homes after being cured.
Apart from this, 862 people have died due to this deadly virus in the state so far.
New laboratories will start in these districts
Meanwhile, in order to stop the expansion of Corona infection and provide better treatment to the people on time, 07 new laboratories will soon start functioning in the state, which will further increase the testing of Corona infection.
Additional Chief Secretary, Health informed that the Medical Department is going to set up 07 new laboratories in district-mandated hospitals, which will be started in the next two-three days. These labs will be started in Aligarh, Varanasi, Gonda, Moradabad, Bareilly, Mirzapur and Balrampur Hospital in Lucknow.
He said that there are already labs in Lucknow, but the state government lab was not yet in the other six districts. With their establishment, the corona investigation will be increased every day.
32,826 corona samples were tested on Wednesday
Additional Chief Secretary, Health said that 32,826 swab samples were tested in the state on Wednesday. Earlier, 34,085 on Tuesday, 30,329 on Monday and 25,918 on Sunday, corona samples have been tested in various laboratories. At the same time, more than 10, 36,106 corona samples have been tested in the state.
10,374 people admitted to isolation ward
There are currently 10,374 people admitted in isolation wards in the state. There are 3,983 people in the facility quarantine. In the facility quarantine, those people have been kept who came in contact with corona infected. Being in the hotspot, they have symptoms or are prone to infection.
13,460 samples tested through 2,328 pools
On Wednesday, 13,460 samples were tested through 2,328 pools, he said. Of these, five samples per pool were tested through 1,964 pools, out of which 260 pool reports were positive. At the same time, ten samples were tested per pool through 364 pools, out of which 74 reported positive.
Earlier on Tuesday, 12,710 samples were tested through 2,228 pools. Of these, five samples per pool were tested through 1,914 pools, of which 315 pools reported positive. At the same time, ten samples were tested per pool through 314 pools, out of which 51 reported positive.
On Monday, 14,090 samples were tested through 2,501 pools. Of these, five samples per pool were tested through 2,184 pools, out of which 258 pools were reported positive. At the same time, ten samples were tested per pool through 317 pools, out of which 55 reported positive.
1, 56,783 people received call from control room regarding Aarogya Setu app
He informed that the alerts received by those who downloaded the ‘Aarogya Setu’ app in the state, are being sent to the respective districts. At the same time, people who have come in contact with infected people were informed through the control room. Now the Chief Minister Helpline-1076 is also helping in this and people are also being called through it. So far, 1, 56,783 people have been called. They have been advised to be vigilant.
Health teams reach among 6.03 crore people
He informed that the health department teams are constantly reaching out and surveying people in different areas. So far 1, 62,438 teams have surveyed 6, 03, 32,201 people from 1, 18, 15,327 households.
