Lucknow, 4 Nov: The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has accelerated the process of installing open air gym equipment in the parks of the state.
Under this, the process of installation of open air gym equipment has also started in 100 parks in the capital Lucknow.
On the instructions of the state government, Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has decided to speed up the process and allot the work through e-bidding process by issuing e-tender.
Last date of application is 10th November. The last date for online submission of applications sought by LDA through e-tender has been fixed as 10th November.
At the same time, this tender will open on 11th November through which the applicant to complete the works will be decided. The special thing is that there is no provision for joint venturing in this tender, that is, two companies cannot apply as a joint venture.
According to this tender, only one Applicant Company or firm will be eligible to apply. The eligible applicants who will get this tender will not only have to install open air gym equipments in various identified parks of Lucknow within 6 months but will also have to ensure their proper maintenance for 5 years.
Makeover of the parks will be done by spending Rs 3.66 crore. A spokesperson of the state government said that the tender fee for the e-tender issued by LDA has been kept at Rs 4366. At the same time, the interested applicant participating in this tender will have to deposit Rs 7.32 lakh as Earnest Money Deposit (EMD). The e-tendering process will be completed in two phases.
He told that in the first phase, eligible applicants will be determined through financial bid while in the second phase, eligible applicants will be determined through technical bid. All applicants will be able to submit only one application at a time and the applications of applicants submitting more than one application will be rejected. The company or firm that will get this tender through bidding will have to ensure the quality and maintenance of all the works as per the rulebook of Uttar Pradesh Government.
Focus on providing health benefits by increasing facilities in parks. The spokesperson said that the focus of the state government is to provide best health benefits to the public by providing best civic services in the parks. The Yogi government of the state is trying to make this facility available to the common citizens in parks across the state.
He said that in this sequence, the focus of the state government is to complete this facility in 500 parks as soon as possible. At present, efforts are being made to provide open air gym facilities in 100 parks within the next 6 months.
