New Delhi, February 14: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) board examinations for class 10th and 12th will begin from Thursday (February 15). In view of the farmers’ movement, the board has advised schools, parents and students to use Delhi Metro to reach the examination centers on time.
CBSE Controller of Examinations Dr Sanyam Bhardwaj said in the advisory issued on Wednesday that this year more than 39 lakh students from 26 countries in India and abroad will appear for the examination. 5,80,192 students will appear for the board exams from 877 examination centers in Delhi. Since the examination starts at 10.30 am, all students are instructed to reach their examination centers on or before 10 am.
It said that due to the prevailing situation in Delhi, it is expected that there will be traffic related problems, which may cause delay in reaching the examination centre. Therefore all students are advised to leave their homes early so that they can reach on time as per the instructions issued by CBSE. It is advisable to use metro services to reach the examination centres, which are running smoothly.
The Board has said that all CBSE students all over India and other countries are also requested to report to the examination centers on or before 10 am (IST), keeping in mind the local conditions, traffic, weather conditions and distance etc. Plan your journey to reach. Only those students will be allowed to enter the examination center by 10 am. After this no student will be allowed.
The board has requested all the schools to help and guide the parents and students. Students are once again advised to visit their examination centers well in advance and plan their journey so that they can reach before or on time on all examination days.
