New Delhi, 15 September: Gifts received by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from state heads, sportspersons and politicians as well as people from different walks of life will be e-auctioned. The gifts will be auctioned from September 17 to October 2. The price of the items in this auction can range from ?100 to lakhs of rupees. This time 1200 gifts have been kept in the auction, which includes gifts received from people from the sports world.
According to the Ministry of Culture, this is the fourth time that the gifts received by the Prime Minister are being auctioned on the occasion of his birthday.
People can participate in the e-auction by visiting pmmementos.gov.in. The amount received from this auction will be given to the Namami Gange project. Last year, ?16 crore was received from the auction of gifts, which were given to the Namami Ganga project.
