New Delhi, 29 December: The highest number of new cases of corona have been reported in a single day on Thursday in the last 225 days in the country. In the last 24 hours, 797 new cases of corona have been reported and the death of 5 patients has been recorded.
According to the latest data released by the Health Ministry on Friday, there are 4091 active cases in the country. With this, 145 cases of Corona’s new variant JN.1 have been reported.
The highest number of cases of the new variant have been reported from Kerala and Karnataka.
According to the Health Ministry, new cases of the new variant of Corona have been found in the reports of samples taken between November 21 and December 18.
