Lucknow, July 24: A boy shot and killed himself with his paternal uncle’s licensed pistol in Ghazipur police station area on Wednesday,
On receiving the information, the police, along with the forensic team, investigated the scene and collected evidence and sent the body for postmortem.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) North Abhijeet R Shankar provided details and told that Satyendra Singh, who lives in a rented house in Hariyar Nagar, Indiranagar, informed the police that his nephew Pratyushraj Singh (18) had committed suicide by shooting himself with a licensed pistol. On receiving the information, the police station in-charge Ghazipur, forensic team reached the spot and investigated the scene thoroughly.
DCP further apprised that uncle told the police that his nephew was undergoing treatment at Kalyan Singh Cancer Hospital in Lucknow. He was very upset due to this, due to which he shot himself with his licensed pistol. The forensic team has recovered the pistol and empty bullets from the scene. Further action is being taken by sending the body for postmortem.
