Vidisha, 06 September: Following the claim of a saint, the land was excavated in village Dharga in Vidisha district of Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday.
During this excavation, a two and a half feet stone statue of Bajrang Bali was unearthed. During this the district administration team was also present.
Villagers told that Saint Haridas Tyagi Maharaj of Omkareshwar had reached village Dharga on Tuesday itself. He told the villagers that there is a proven place in the empty land in the middle of the village and here the idol of Hanuman ji is buried under the ground.
After this, a meeting of the villagers was held on Tuesday evening and digging of the vacant land was started from 08 am on Wednesday.
After getting information about the digging, a large number of police forces, forest and revenue department officials reached the spot and stopped the digging.
During this period, some villagers had a lot of arguments with the officials. The angry villagers started singing bhajans and kirtans on the vacant land.
When the Revenue Department officials checked the documents, they found this land to belong to farmer Durg Singh of the same village. After this the villagers again started digging, in which this idol was found. As soon as the idol was released, the period of worship started in this area.
Now there is talk of building a temple here.
Vidisha Collector Umashankar Bhargava said that this land is adjacent to the Forest Development Corporation land, hence the excavation was stopped. When the land turned out to be private, the land was demarcated and handed over to the farmer.
Collector added, after the administration’s investigation was completed, the villagers started digging again. After digging about four feet, the statue of Hanuman ji has emerged from the ground.
Saint Hirdas Tyagi Maharaj of Omkareshwar told that he had come to the village six months ago. Then they went to rest on the vacant land. During this time, he had a dream that the idol of Hanuman ji was buried under the ground. After this, after giving this information to some people, he went back to Omkareshwar.
When they came to know that the idol had not been taken out yet, they reached the village again and with the help of the villagers, the idol of Hanuman ji was taken out by digging the ground.
