Ballia, 12 Oct: Two men were booked on Thursday for allegedly uttering derogatory statements about Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on social media.
“We received a complaint that one Vivek Yadav made objectionable comments about Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on a WhatsApp group a few days ago,” said Station House Officer (SHO) of Nagra Police Station, Atul Kumar Mishra.
“Balmiki Yadav of the same village filed the complaint. Based on the complaint, we charged Vivek Yadav and the admin of the WhatsApp group on Wednesday under section 505 (2) of the IPC (publishing content with the purpose to create terror or alarm in public). The situation is still being investigated,” he added.
