Ghaziabad, 03 January: The death toll due to falling of a roof of a shelter has reached to 23 at Ukhrulsi crematorium in Muradnagar in Ghaziabad district of Uttar Pradesh.
However, rescue work is still underway on the spot. People engaged in rescue work are having trouble due to rain. In this accident, 8 people have been injured, who have been admitted to private hospital besides district hospital.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Minister of State Atul Garg visited the hospitals and directed the hospital administration not to take any prejudice in the treatment of the injured.
Dr AK Vishwakarma, doctor of the district hospital MMG, said that so far 23 dead bodies have been reached at the hospital. 8 injured have been admitted to private hospital besides district hospital.
Uttar Pradesh Minister of State Atul Garg visited these hospitals and directed the hospital administration not to take any kind of chances in the treatment of the injured. Every possible treatment should be given to them. The administration has released a list of 23 dead and 8 injured.
Samajwadi Party leader and former MLA Surendra Kumar Munni has said that this incident is very sad. He has condolences to the families of those who died and the injured.
He has demanded from the government that at least one member of the kin of those killed should be given a job.
National spokesperson of Rashtriya Lok Dal Sardar Inderjit Singh Titu also expressed his condolences.
Social Chowkidar president KK Sharma has also said that this is a very serious matter. Who is responsible for the deaths of so many people? He demanded a complete inquiry into the matter.
