Chief Minister reviewed meeting on National Youth Festival, letter to youth across the country

Lucknow, 03 December: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed the preparations for the 23rd National Youth Festival being held in the state capital Lucknow from January 12 to 16 2020 at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan.
He said that the youth festival is likely to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi so all preparations should be made keeping this in mind. He said that a letter should be sent to all the states soon to invite the youth to participate in the youth festival. Chief Minister Yogi gave this instruction in a meeting of concerned officials on Monday night.
The Chief Minister said that NCC, NSS, Yuvak Mangal Dal and youths doing good work in different fields should be invited to participate in Yuva Utsav. He instructed to ensure the necessary arrangements including lodging, food and other arrangements for the youth festival participants. He directed to make the list of participants participating in this program under the direction of the District Magistrates. He said that youths should be selected on the basis of merit.
The Chief Minister directed the distributing youths the books of Swami Vivekananda literature. He instructed that the products marked under the logo of One District Ome Product(ODOP) will be distributed to the the youth participating in the competitions in the festival as a prize. He said that youth are our strength, so it is necessary to add them.
It is noteworthy that the 23rd National Youth Festival will be held from January 12 to 16, 2020 at the Indira Gandhi Pratishthan. This youth festival to be held on january 12, the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, is being organized jointly by the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports, Uttar Pradesh Youth Welfare Department, Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan and National Service Scheme, Government of India. Its aim is to connect the youth of the country with the mainstream of the nation. Yuva Utsav not only provides a common platform to the youth, but also provides them an opportunity to showcase their cultural skills, courageous talent and skills.
During the meeting, Minister of State for Youth Welfare (Independent Charge) Upendra Tiwari, Chief Secretary R.K. Tiwari, Principal Secretary Youth Welfare Dimple Verma and other senior officials were present.
