New Delhi, 03 September: To find out the spread of coronavirus, hospitalisation, mortality and immunisation in the country, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has started the second Sero Survey. The survey will run for the next two weeks, analyzing the results and releasing them.

On Thursday, ICMR Director-General Balram Bhargava said that 70 districts of the country have been selected this time. This time a large number of people will be sampled. After this survey lasting two weeks, the results will be studied.

It is noteworthy that the Central Government had conducted sero survey in the country earlier also, in which only about 3 percent people had developed antibodies.

However, so far sero survey has been done in Delhi twice, under which antibodies were found to be developed in 23% and 29% people. The sero survey in Delhi has been started from September 2.

This sero survey shows the prevalence and speed of virus transmission in the city, so that the administration can take comprehensive steps to stop it.
