Prayagraj, August 27: A three-day Armed Forces Festival is being organized from September 3 at the Surya Sports Complex in Lucknow Cantonment. The festival will showcase the latest military equipment developed as part of “Aatmanirbhar Bharat”. Public will be able to see state-of-the-art weapons including equipment of the three armed forces such as tanks, helicopters and weapon systems, Chief Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of Defense Prayagraj informed.
He said that the festival will also have a static display, which will include T-90 tanks (main battle tank of the Indian Army), K9 Vajra self-propelled artillery gun, Swati radar, ALH (Advanced Light Helicopter), Chinook, Apache, LCH (Light Combat Helicopter) Prachand. Models of Navy aircraft carriers, submarines and destroyers. Flypast by airplanes, para drop, para motors, micro light flying and many other demonstrations will be the main attractions of the live performances.
He said that the festival will be held from 3 to 5 September from 10 am to 6 pm daily. No tickets or passes are required for entry into the festival, it is free for all citizens. This is a unique opportunity for the people of Lucknow to see the might of the armed forces.
