Lucknow, 26 December: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday instructed Principal Secretary Home Sanjay Prasad to give relaxation of three years in the age limit of all categories of candidates in the police recruitment this time. There was a demand for relaxation in age limit in police recruitment which is taking place after a long time.
It is noteworthy that the Uttar Pradesh government has recruited more than 62 thousand constables in the police department.
With the release of recruitment, the youth of the state are demanding to increase the age limit.
Taking this seriously, Chief Minister Yogi has taken this step. With this step of the government, a large number of youth will also get an opportunity to participate in the recruitment process who were being deprived of it due to crossing the age limit.
Earlier the age limit for men was fixed at 18 to 22 years. Women were kept between 18 to 25 years. Also, a provision of relaxation of five years each in the maximum age limit was made for SC, ST and OBC candidates. With this step of the government, now candidates of all categories will get three years relaxation. The application process for this will start from December 27.
