Lucknow, 20 February: A youth was shot dead in Kakori police station area late on Wednesday night. Police reached the crime scene on receiving the information and started investigating the case.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) told reporters that 30-year-old Ankit Rajput, a resident of Behta village, has been shot dead. So far, investigation has revealed that some people known to Ankit were standing at a shop. He got into a fight with some people standing before him. Ankit reached the shop and started talking to both the parties.
DCP told that during this, a fight broke out again and at that time someone shot Ankit. He was taken to the hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. Probe is underway as to who fired the shot. Names of some people have come to light. A complaint was filed by the deceased’s brother-in-law Ramu. Police is investigating the case from every angle.
