Lucknow, 20 December: So far, 3274263.81 metric tonnes of paddy has been procured through various purchase centres opened in the state under Kharif procurement year 2021-22. 462090 farmers have been benefitted by this scheme and Rs 4176.90 crore has been paid in their accounts.
According to the information received from the Food and Logistics Department, 143346.70 metric tonnes of paddy has been procured today.
Against the procurement target, 46.78 percent procurement has been done. The procurement is being done keeping in mind that there should be no inconvenience to the farmers at the paddy procurement centres.
