Lucknow, 27 November: The district and police administration in Uttar Pradesh removed 3238 loudspeakers from religious establishments on Monday.
At those places where noise level is found to be more than the standard, they have been warned of action.
According to the government, a campaign is being run from November 23 to November 22 against illegal loudspeakers. In this sequence, on Monday, UP Police officials along with district administration officers conducted a checking campaign.
61399 loudspeakers installed at public and religious places in the state were checked. The sound of 7288 instruments and loudspeakers was reduced. 3238 loudspeakers were removed.
Apart from this, the police team has issued a notice to the people who are violating the prescribed sound standard limit and have issued a notice to keep the number of sound and sound amplification devices as per the standard.
