Lucknow, 16 Sept: According to authorities, five members of a family, including three children, were killed when a piece of their house’s roof fell on Saturday.
According to them, the incident occurred at Anand Nagar railway colony, which is part of the Alambagh police station jurisdiction.
According to Station House Officer (SHO) Shiv Shankar Mahadevan, Satish Chandra (40) and his family members were fast sleeping when their house’s roof partially collapsed.
Around 8 a.m., sanitation employees contacted police about the incident, and police and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) personnel arrived on the scene, he added. According to him, the tragedy killed Chandra, his wife Sarojini Devi (35) and their children Harshit (13), Harshita (10) and Ansh (5).
