Lucknow, September 12: The number of active cases of global pandemic coronavirus disease in the state of Uttar Pradesh has now jumped to 67,955.
A total of 2, 33,527 people in the state have been sent back to their homes after being treated for the disease.
However, in the last twenty-four hours, 6,846 new cases of infection have been reported in the state.
At the same time, total 4,349 people have died due to deadly virus.
73.58 lakh corona samples have been tested so far
Additional Chief Secretary Medical and Health Amit Mohan Prasad said on Saturday that a total of 1, 40,562 swab samples were tested on Friday in various laboratories of the state taking the total number of sample testing to 73, 58,471.
Death rate decreased to 1.42 percent in the state
The recovery rate of Covid patients in the state has once again seen improvement. Currently the recovery rate is 76.35 percent as compared to 75.85 percent on Thursday.
Talking about the case fatality rate (CFR), death rate in cases, it has now come down to 1.42 percent.
So far, 1.49 lakh people have availed the facility of home isolation
Prasad confirmed that out of the total active patients in the state, 36,334 people are availing the facility of home isolation i.e. treatment at home. This is 53.46 percent of the total patients.
โApart from this, 3,607 people are taking advantage of L-1 Plus semi-bed facility in private hospitals and 275 people in hotels. Apart from these, the rest are admitted in government hospitals under the arrangement of L-1, L-2 and L-3 of the state government,โ he said.
Prasad further informed so far, a total of 1, 49,396 people have availed the facility of home isolation, out of which 1, 13,062 people have been declared discharged on completion of treatment time.
72,148 people have taken advantage of e-Sanjivani so far
ACS Health told that along with this, people of the state are constantly using the e-Sanjeevani portal through which they can take advice from the doctors by sitting at home. On Friday, 1,739 people availed the facility. So far, a total of 72,148 people have availed medical benefits through this portal.
10.75 lakh people have been called on the Aarogya Setu app
The alerts received by those who download the ‘Aarogya Setu’ app in the state are being called through the control room and the Chief Minister Helpline-1076. So far, 10, 75,978 people have been advised to be cautious by calling.
Most infections in people aged 21-40
He said that in the total cases of corona infection, the percentage of men is still higher than women. So far, 69 percent of men and 31 percent of women have been diagnosed with infection.
โOf the total cases of infection, 13.98 percent of the age group 0โ20, 48.58 percent of the age group 21โ40 and 28.69 percent of those aged 41โ60 and 8.75 percent of those aged above 60 have been infected,โ ACS Health told.
Health teams reach among 11.40 crore people
Health department teams are constantly reaching out and surveying people in various fields. So far, 3, 43,519 teams have surveyed 2, 28, 74,346 crore households in 1, 00410 areas. Under this, medical screening of 11, 40, 14,407 people has been done.
64,447 Covid help desks set up in the state so far
A total of 64,447 ‘Covid help desks’ have been established in the state. 7, 36,000 symptomatic people were identified through them. Oximeters and thermometers are available at these help desks and adequate availability of sanitizer has been made in all these units.
5,727 surgeries performed from 01 September to 11 September this year
Additional Chief Secretary Medical and Health said that along with Covid care in the state, non-covid care is also being given full attention.
โWhile 7,769 major surgeries were performed in government hospitals in the state from September 1 to September 11, 5,727 major surgeries were performed during the same period this year despite the corona infection period,โ he said.
