Mumbai, August 19: 78 Govindas have been injured while bursting Dahi Handi on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Shri Krishna in Mumbai. All of them were admitted to KEM, Nair, and Poddar hospitals in Mumbai for treatment.
According to the Municipal Corporation of Mumbai, out of these 67 Govindas, 67 were discharged after treatment. The treatment of eleven Govindas is still going on. According to the information from this morning, Shri Krishna Janmotsav is being celebrated in the Mumbai metropolis with great enthusiasm.
The festival could not be celebrated for the last two years due to Corona. But this year, due to the decrease in the number of corona patients, this festival is being celebrated with great enthusiasm. Since this morning, the team of Govindas has been bursting Dahi Handi in the city. So by noon, 12 Govindas were injured.
The Mumbai Municipal Corporation said that till 6 pm, a total of 78 people were injured in Mumbai. All these Govindas are being treated free of cost in hospitals.
