Lucknow, March 24: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, while talking to journalists on Monday on the completion of eight years of his government, said that in 2016-17, the unemployment rate of UP was 19 percent, which has currently come down to just 3 percent. Per capita income in the state has more than doubled. Our system has reached 27 lakh crores.
Chief Minister Yogi said that before 2017 there was a crisis of law and order. The youth was facing an identity crisis. An example of better law and order has been seen in Maha Kumbh. There was no incident of crime, robbery, molestation, kidnapping in the 45-day event. There is no feeling of dissatisfaction in the minds of the devotees coming there.
The state is the same but in 8 years the government has linked the police force with a system. When our government came in 2017, more than one and a half lakh posts were vacant in the police force. Removing the doubts of the public and the court on the fate of the government, the government recruited 1 lakh 56 thousand police personnel. Also, the recruitment process of more than 60 thousand 200 new police personnel has been completed. Who will get training soon.
Uttar Pradesh took a long leap in the field of poor welfare. 15 crore residents of the state are getting free ration. Uttar Pradesh has provided housing facility to 56 lakh people. 1 crore 6 lakh elderly women are getting pension. Uttar Pradesh ranks first in the country in delivering money through DBT. In the new financial year, we are going to launch Zero Poverty Scheme.
The Chief Minister said that earlier the state was identified by potholes. Today, if you google, UP’s name comes up as the state with the most expressways. The state is operating the most metros. The country’s first rapid rail is being operated. Before 2017, the state was a state with one and a half expressways. Lucknow had an incomplete metro. Uttar Pradesh is a state that keeps capital safe in investment. In the coming time, the state is on its way to becoming a dream destination for investors.
He said that in the field of solar energy, only 228 MW project was operational before 2017. We produced 2653 MW solar energy in 8 years. From independence till 2017, there were only 12 medical colleges. Whereas in the last 8 years, 80 medical colleges were built, out of which 44 are government and 36 are private medical colleges.
The results of the state government’s work are in front of us. Today the state is the number 2 state in the economy. In its very first decision, our government implemented loan waiver for farmers and 7th Pay Commission for state employees.
CM Yogi said that we gave a better result without imposing tax on the public. Today UP is a revenue surplus state. Today there is a possibility of employment.
