Lucknow, 16 November: The Yogi government has started the process of rejuvenating nine selected historical heritage sites of the state.
As per the intention of Chief Minister Yogi, a detailed action plan was prepared in this regard, the responsibility of implementing which has been entrusted to the Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department.
According to the blueprint drawn in this sequence, the outline of these historical heritages has been decided with a total investment of Rs 490 crore. The process of identifying agencies to carry out this work has also started.
According to the action plan, an investment of Rs 100 crore in Chhatarmanzil of Lucknow will pave the way for rejuvenation. At the same time, the makeover process will be completed in Chunar Fort of Mirzapur and Barua Sagar Fort of Jhansi with an investment of Rs 100 crore each.
Similarly, work is underway to complete the makeover process of Kothi Gulistan-e-Iram, Kothi Darshan Vilas and Kothi Roshan-ud-Daula of Lucknow with an investment of Rs 50 crore each. Apart from this, the Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department has also started the process of lease based Private Sector Participation (PSP) for the development of 10 Rahi Tourist Bungalows in the state.
Jal Mahal, Shukla Talab and Tikaitarai Baradari will also get makeover.
As per the intention of Yogi Adityanath, the process of converting Jal Mahal in Barsana, Mathura, Shukla Talab in Kanpur Dehat and Tikait Rai Baradari in Kanpur Nagar into adaptive reuse assets through an investment of Rs 30 crore each has been started. .
It is noteworthy that the Yogi government is continuously making efforts to establish Uttar Pradesh as a popular destination for heritage tourism and its current step will further strengthen the position of Uttar Pradesh in this direction. Under the guidance of CM Yogi, important initiatives have been taken to return the heritage properties to their ancient glory through private sector investment.
In this sequence, the process of converting these places into wellness centres, heritage hotels, luxury resorts, museums, boutique restaurants, marriage destinations and wedding venues, adventure tourism spots, homestays, theme parks and other tourist and guest units has been started. .
10 Rahi tourist bungalows will be operated
Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department has also started the process of lease based Private Sector Participation (PSP) for the development of 10 Rahi Tourist Bungalows in the state.
Among these, Deva Sharif of Barabanki, Hargaon of Sitapur, Kandhla of Shamli, Soron of Etah, Khurja of Bulandshahr, Munshiganj of Amethi, Patna Bird Sanctuary of Etah, Kachla of Badaun, Chunar of Mirzapur and Bhupia Mau of Pratapgarh are prominent.
Applications have been invited through e-tender to complete the operation and development process in all these Rahi Tourist Bungalows through PSP process and it is believed that the work allocation
process will also be completed in the month of November itself.
