Kanpur, 22 December: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur has achieved a significant milestone in the first phase of the placement season for the year 2023-24 with a total of 989 offers including 22 international offers. A total of 913 students have got jobs, apprised IIT Kanpur Director Prof S. Ganesh.
Congratulating the students, he said, “We are concluding the first phase of this year’s placement season, for which the tireless efforts of the Student Placement Office deserve appreciation. We express our heartfelt gratitude to all who have trusted our students and the Institute and provided valuable opportunities within their organizations. “This trust and collaboration greatly enhances students’ professional journeys.”
He further informed that the first phase of the placement season 2023-24 has been successfully completed at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. In which a significant achievement has been achieved with a total of 989 proposals including 22 international proposals. Of these, 913 students, including those with Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs), have achieved placements, reflecting the institute’s commitment to providing exceptional career opportunities despite dynamic market conditions. The current average salary is an impressive Rs 26.27 LPA (lakhs per annum) which underlines the high caliber of IIT Kanpur’s graduate talent.
Director stated that Microsoft, Fujitsu, Samsung, Reliance, Goldman Sachs, McKinsey, Texas Instruments, Qualcomm, Deutsche Bank, Tata Projects, Navi, UniOrbit, ICICI Bank, EXL, NPCI, Intel, TSMC, Bajaj Auto during the first phase of placements at IIT Kanpur , saw active participation from industry giants like Tata Steel, HPCL, SECI, C-DOT, NVIDIA. This diverse and prestigious list of recruiters reflects the institution’s strong position in the professional landscape and the myriad of opportunities available to its students.
Professor Raju Kumar Gupta, Chairman, Student Placement Office at IIT Kanpur has extended a hearty invitation to reputed industries and startups for the upcoming second phase of placements starting in mid-January 2024.
