Lucknow, 03 March: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday discussed the important achievements of the government in many areas in the Legislative Assembly during the discussion on the budget.
He said that in 2015-16, the state was ranked 14th in ‘Ease of Doing Business’. Today, the state is in the second place in this ranking. If the state’s Ease of Doing Business ranking is not good, then no external investment will come to you. Only the faces of governance have changed, the system is the same; the source of income is also the same. We have only changed the methodology, instilled a belief in the minds of the people.
Economy improved rapidly in four years
He said that Uttar Pradesh has become the largest economy in the country in just four years. Our economy has grown from 10, 90,000 crores to 21, 73,000 crores. It has more than doubled in four years.
He said that during Corona, people used to get upset about what would happen. Then we said that you can be sure that Uttar Pradesh has changed, it is the new Uttar Pradesh of new India.
Ease of Living becomes the basis for increasing per capita income
The Chief Minister said that Ease of Living has not only become the basis for the ease of life but also to increase per capita income. Work has been done to provide benefits of housing, electricity connection, and ration portability to people, Ayushman Bharat Yojana. I am happy that most of our migrant labourers, who came during the Corona period, have been connected with employment in the state and are contributing in the development of the state. His contribution is strengthening the economy of the state.
Comprehensive action plan in Bundelkhand-Vindhya and 30 thousand revenue villages
The Chief Minister spoke that the work of connecting the villages with the roads is being done. We are providing pure water under the Drinking Water Scheme Har Ghar Nal Yojana. Bundelkhand, Vindhya region and 30 thousand other revenue villages are coming up with a comprehensive action plan. All these villages are going to implement piped drinking water scheme simultaneously. The executive organization will also be responsible for its maintenance for 10 years.
95% of deaths due to encephalitis are controlled
The Chief Minister said that encephalitis was causing mass deaths in Gorakhpur and Basti districts as well as 38 districts. We started programs for this. Today we have succeeded in preventing this disease. Deaths due to the disease have been 95 percent controlled.
Yogi said that the appointment process of BC Sakhi at the Gram Panchayat level in the state has been brought to the final stage. Now the person of the village will not have to go away from the village to withdraw and deposit money, instead BC Sakhi will provide this facility.
52.5% cane price paid in current session
The Chief Minister said that 1, 25,261.48 crore have been paid to sugarcane farmers in the state so far. 98.5% of the sugarcane value has been paid in 2019-20. We have not stopped the sugar mills, but have run them. During the Covid period, 119 sugar mills of the state continued to operate. At the same time, 10,757 crores i.e. 52.5 percent payment has been made in the current session. This is a reflection of our priority and commitment.
Best Performance Award to UP under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana
The Chief Minister said that Uttar Pradesh was awarded the Best Performance for the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. 2.42 crore farmers have benefited from this. The scope of Farmer Accident Insurance has been increased. The sharecropper and his family will also be able to benefit from it.
He said that today at least one Krishi Vigyan Kendra is established in every district to connect the farmer with technical knowledge. This led to an attempt to diversify farming. 700 crore has also been made in this budget for free water for irrigation.
Provisions in the budget for food processing industries
The Chief Minister said that provisions have been made in the budget for the implementation of food processing industries. A provision of 400 crore has been made under the interest subsidy scheme to provide loans to farmers at a concessional rate from NABARD. Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana The work of providing housing to 40 lakh poor including rural and urban has been done during the last 04 years.
Vantangia village given the status of revenue village
He said that Vantangia villages were established in the country between the years 1910 and 1920. He lived in various districts like Maharajganj, Gorakhpur, Kushinagar, Siddharthnagar, Balrampur, Gonda, Bahraich, Shravasti, Lakhimpur, Pilibhit. His name was not even in the voter list, there was no facility for him. We fought for this in Parliament. At the same time, in 2017-18, Vantangia village started being given the status of revenue village. Today there is also a pucca house, electricity and water system. This time we have started the work of providing housing under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana to the people of the deprived castes of Bundelkhand.
