Lucknow, August 25: On the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the data of the beneficiaries is being linked with the Aadhaar to make the benefits of government schemes accessible to the people. Data of about one crore beneficiaries of disabled pension including destitute women, old age pension is being linked with Aadhaar.
The government has set a deadline of August 31 for Aadhaar linking. At the same time, the time till October has been fixed by the department for its feeding. About 60 percent of this work has been completed. The seeding of Aadhar link of all the beneficiaries will be completed by the end of October. Seeding will help in eliminating duplication and bring the benefits of government schemes to the right person.
Director of Social Welfare Department Rakesh Kumar Shukla said that about 56 lakh beneficiaries are being given old age pension every quarter by the department.
He said that the data of all the beneficiaries is being linked with Aadhaar on the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to make the benefits of the scheme reach the eligible person and to make it transparent. This will also eliminate duplication completely.
Rakesh Kumar said that so far 60 percent of the total beneficiaries i.e. about 34 lakh beneficiaries have been seeded. 100% seeding will be completed by October.
Similarly, seeding work is going on in full swing in Women Welfare Department and Divyang Welfare Department. About 31 lakh 50 thousand destitute women of the state are being given pension by the Women’s Welfare Department.
About 53 percent (ie 16.50 lakh) of their seeding has been completed.
At the same time, the work of seeding of about 11 lakh beneficiaries of the Divyang Welfare Department is also going on at a fast pace. So far more than three lakh 68 thousand beneficiaries seeding has been done, which is 33.51 percent.
