Ayodhya: Grand Shri Ram temple to open for devotees during Makar Sankranti in ’24

Ayodhya, 25 October: According to a member of the trust formed to oversee the shrine’s construction, the Ram temple here will be open to devotees in January 2024, after the installation of Ram Lalla idols. On Tuesday, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Khestra announced that 50 percent of the temple’s construction work had been completed and that overall progress was satisfactory.

The temple will be open to devotees in January 2024, following the installation of Ram Lalla idols in the shrine’s sanctum sanctorum during the Makar Sankranti festival, according to trust general secretary Champat Rai.

He stated that the temple’s ground floor will be completed by December of next year, and that Lord Ram idols will be installed around January 14, 2024. “The Ram temple will cost an estimated ?1,800 crore,” Rai said, adding that space will be made for idols of prominent Hindu seers.
