Ballia, 18 Nov: A 25-year-old man was detained here on Friday for allegedly abducting and raping a woman under the guise of marriage.
According to police, on September 8, the man reportedly kidnapped the 20-year-old lady on the pretence of marrying her and raped her for three days.
According to authorities, the accused reportedly threatened the victim with terrible repercussions. They stated that she later filed a complaint in this regard and that a case was filed against the accused. The police said the culprit was apprehended at the Parikhara bus stop and that further action is being taken.
