UP has created sense of security for industry: Yogi

Lucknow, 22 Nov: The Uttar Pradesh government has given the industrial sector a sense of security by taking a “zero tolerance” stance to crime and criminals, said Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday, as he announced plans to do roadshows in 18 nations to entice investors.

He further stated that Uttar Pradesh has emerged as one of the most popular investment destinations due to its clear rules that make conducting business easier.

Speaking at a pre-event here for the Uttar Pradesh Global Investors Summit 2023, which will be hosted in Lucknow from February 10 to 12 next year, he said the event will be important in offering a single platform to the global industrial world for economic development collaboration.

To invite investors to the summit, the State Government intends to hold roadshows in 18 nations and seven major Indian cities.

The state has set an objective of garnering 10 lakh crore in investment through the event. Uttar Pradesh will serve as a development engine to assist India reach a $5 trillion economy, Adityanath said that his state has set a goal of reaching a $1 trillion economy in the next five years. He added that Uttar Pradesh has made significant reformative initiatives toward building an ecosystem for industrial growth through policy-driven governance, including the formulation of around 25 policies to attract investment. The Chief Minister went on to say that the government is working on a number of industrial projects in the state.

“Uttar Pradesh is developing the Defence Industrial Corridor. Out of the six nodes Agra, Aligarh, Kanpur, Lucknow, Jhansi, and Chitrakoot, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has already inaugurated the Aligarh node, while land allotment is underway in the other,? he claimed.

The first medical device park in the state was opened along the Yamuna Expressway. Similarly, he informed the audience that Film City, Toy Park, Apparel Park, Handicraft Park, and Logistics Hub are being created in the Yamuna Expressway area. The Chief Minister unveiled the ‘Online Incentive Management Portal’ and the ‘Customer Relationship Management Portal (Nivesh Sarathi)’ to improve the ‘convenience of investors.’ He also unveiled the summit’s logo.
