Mumbai police helpline receives 7 threat messages to kill PM Modi

Mumbai, 22 November: Seven messages threatening to kill Prime Minister Narendra Modi have been received on the Mumbai Traffic Police helpline. There is also an audio tape, in which it is said that two henchmen of notorious gangster Dawood Ibrahim are going to kill Modi. The two operatives in the tape have been mentioned as Mustafa Ahmed and Nawaz.

The Mumbai Police are investigating the matter. According to police sources, all the messages received by the traffic police helpline on Monday late night are in Hindi. After tracing a message, the Mumbai Police team interrogated a manager of a diamond company about a suspicious person.

But the manager told the police team that the person had been fired. One Aadhaar card photo of a suspect Suprabhat Bej, has been sent to the Kerala Police.

Before this, the traffic control cell of Mumbai Police received messages threatening to carry out 26/11-type terrorist attack in Mumbai from a number in Pakistan. After tracing this call, it was found that the message was sent from a mobile number in Somalia. In Santacruz too, a video call was received threatening to kill a person. All these threat messages are being investigated.
