Meerut, 07 December: A Bihar Vigilance team reached Subhash Nagar of Civil Line area in Meerut on Wednesday in search of Bihar cadre IPS officer Aditya Kumar, who is on the run .
The team left after interrogating the family members for three hours. According to Special Vigilance Unit (SVU) ADG Nayyar Hasnain Khan, a case of disproportionate assets has been registered against IPS Aditya Kumar.
He said that Aditya Kumar, former SSP of Bihar’s Gaya, has been suspended. On the other hand, raids are going on in Patna, Ghaziabad and Meerut.
IPS Aditya Kumar’s house is in Subhash Nagar, Lane No:-8 located in the Civil Line Police Station area. A team of Bihar Police and Vigilance reached Subhash Nagar at around 6 am on Wednesday. There were ten members in the team.
It is said that the team was headed by Deputy SP Luv Kumar of Patna, Bihar Vigilance. After taking force from Civil Line police station, interrogation was done at Aditya Kumar’s house. After about three hours of questioning, the team left the house.
Meanwhile, SP City Piyush Singh said that this is not the case of Meerut. A case is going on against Aditya in Bihar so the team had come here for investigation.
