Varanasi, 11 Dec: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated on Sunday that all primary health centres in Uttar Pradesh will soon be equipped with tele-consultancy and telemedicine facilities, emphasising the necessity of sophisticated healthcare services.
Chief Minister Adityanath stated at a ceremony commemorating ‘Universal Health Coverage (UHC) Day 2022’ in Varanasi, “Health services must be technologically integrated.
Over 4,600 primary health care centres (PHCs) in the state would be linked to all medical colleges, district hospitals, and the Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGI) and King George’s Medical University (KGMU) in Lucknow. State health personnel will also be properly trained for this purpose.”
He also stated that every health and wellness centre in the state will be linked over the next few months with the facility of teleconsultation.
“In addition, we are placing health ATMs in all PHCs to facilitate telemedicine. Over 4,600 primary health care centres in the state will be linked to health ATMs, allowing for the testing of 60 different ailments at a single location. Paramedics would also receive sufficient training for this purpose,” according to Adityanath.
