Lucknow, 28 May: Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, thanked the people of the country on the inauguration of the new Parliament building on Sunday.
On Sunday morning, Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated the new Parliament building and installed the ancient Sengol in the Lok Sabha chamber. Modi, dressed in traditional clothing, entered Parliament through Gate No. 1 and was greeted by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla.
Against the backdrop of Vedic chanting from Karnataka’s Shringeri Math, Prime Minister Narendra Modi conducted “Ganapati Homam” to request Gods to bless the inauguration of the new Parliament building.
“A grand, glorious, and inspiring new Parliament building has been dedicated to the nation today by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, symbolising the fulfilment of hopes, expectations, and aspirations of ‘New India. Heartfelt congratulations to the entire nation,” Adityanath tweeted.
