CAG to audit ‘disturbances’ in repairing CM Kejriwal’s โ‚น53 cr govt house

New Delhi, June 27: The Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) will audit the expenditure incurred in repairing the official residence of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

On the recommendation of Lieutenant Governor (LG) VK Saxena, the Ministry of Home Affairs has approved a special audit from the CAG.

The LG Secretariat wrote a letter to the Ministry of Home Affairs on May 24, 2023, alleging serious financial irregularities and violations of the rules regarding the expenditure incurred in the repair of the Chief Minister’s house.

Earlier on April 27, on the basis of media reports, LG had asked the Chief Secretary to investigate the case and present a factual report.
