Police probe into Tiger Shroff firing is thorough, culprits and their handlers already identified, says Fadnavis
Mumbai, October 19: Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said on Monday that the police are conducting a thorough investigation into the firing incident involving film actor Tiger Shroff. The accused and their handlers have been identified. No accused will be spared.
Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde visited Tiger Shroff’s residence this morning and met him. Shinde condemned the firing incident and called it “extremely worrying.” He said that he had spoken to both the Mumbai Police Commissioner and Tiger Shroff after the incident. Shinde said that the police have formed several teams to identify and arrest the culprits. He said that the government will not tolerate gangs trying to spread fear in the city.
Unidentified gunmen opened fire on his car near Pushpa Park in Juhu on Sunday. Mumbai Police confirmed that Tiger was safe and unharmed. However, reports on Monday suggested that he suffered minor injuries from gunpowder and glass fragments, while his driver was also injured in the incident.
Sources at Nanavati Hospital stated that Tiger’s driver was shot in the left hand and may require surgery. The actor suffered minor scratches and was discharged from the hospital after an examination.
The Juhu police have registered a case against three unidentified suspects. A viral post on social media claims the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has claimed responsibility for the attack, but the police have yet to confirm this.
The post, written in Hindi, states, “We tried to reason with him over the phone, but he didn’t understand. So today we explained it to him properly.” Pandit warned that attacks will continue until artists stop working with Bollywood actor Salman Khan. Anyone in the Mumbai film industry who disobeys us or works with Salman Khan will be next. Let’s wait and see.”
Chief Minister Fadnavis said that the attackers are cowards and are attacking from somewhere else. In this case, the Mumbai police will communicate with the central government and take action against the accused, wherever they may be hiding.
Devendra Fadnavis said that the police have learned everything about this case and will arrest the accused very soon.
