Lucknow, 26 July: Mansukh Mandaviya, union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, stated on Wednesday that the Centre will replicate the Uttar Pradesh model of health fairs across the country.
“Every week, a health fair is held at each primary health and wellness centre in the state. Such fairs serve two and a half to three lakh needy people. We will implement this model throughout the country,” Mandaviya said at a press conference following a meeting with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and state health department officials.
“The UP government has created a very good digital vaccination platform. It has established a site to obtain information about the use of operating rooms in all hospitals, which we will also deploy at the national level,” the union minister added.
According to him, the UP government is the first state government to use e-rupee in the health sector. We will implement the e-Rupee scheme throughout the country so that beneficiaries receive money directly.”
The minister also stated that, while the COVID epidemic in the nation has stopped, there are still isolated instances and a need to be vigilant.
When asked if scientists and technicians briefly held during the COVID outbreak and then removed may be absorbed, the minister stated, “If the government has to use them, they will be used.” at response to the scarcity of physicians at government hospitals, Mandaviya stated that while medical college seats have been doubled, it will take five years for those in training to enter the field.
According to the National Health Policy, 2.5 percent of the country’s gross domestic product must be spent on health services by 2025, according to the minister.
He stated that he met with officials from certain hospitals last year who offered methods to better connect health facilities with the Ayushman Bharat initiative, and that he has subsequently worked on their proposals. “If we encourage and enlist good hospitals, the Ayushman Bharat scheme can be implemented efficiently,” he remarked.
At the same occasion, Adityanath stated that before to 2014, state governments would rush to Delhi only to be ignored, as opposed to now, when union ministers travel to states and inquire how much funding they want for plan execution. “The goal of all of us is to provide complete health care to the person on the bottom rung,” the CM remarked.
