Prayagraj, 7 Aug: An accused criminal from Ajmer, Rajasthan, was apprehended by the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF), according to an official on Monday.
Javed alias Pappu Ganjia was sought in a number of criminal cases and had a โน 50,000 reward for his apprehension, he added.
According to Deputy Superintendent (STF) Navendu Kumar, the accused was arrested from Ajmer by a team of the STF and is facing charges under IPC sections 386 (extortion), 323 (voluntarily inflicting harm), 504 (intentional insult), and 506 (criminal intimidation) at Naini police station.
Kumar stated that his transit remand is being processed. According to the official, at least 41 crimes, including murder and robbery, have been filed against Javed.
