UP police investigating body with gunshot wounds in UP’s Moradabad

Moradabad, 12 Aug: A 21-year-old man was allegedly shot dead by unidentified individuals in a hamlet near Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh. His corpse was discovered in an open field on Saturday, according to authorities.

According to authorities, the victim’s corpse was discovered in an open field in Khanpur village of Moradabad on Saturday with a gunshot wound to the head. This is the district’s second such case in the previous 48 hours.

According to Bhojpur police, the victim, named as Vicky (21), went to attend a volleyball event on Friday evening and then went missing.

When he did not come home, his family and relatives began searching for him, eventually approaching the police and filing a complaint.

“His body was discovered in a field this morning with a bullet wound to the head,” police added.

Following the information, a joint team of police and forensic specialists arrived at the scene and began an investigation into the occurrence. The corpse has been submitted for a post-mortem examination, and a separate investigation team has been constituted, they added.

This was the second similar event recorded in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, in the previous two days. Earlier, a 30-year-old man was shot dead outside his Moradabad home by unidentified bikers. Anuj Chowdhary was recognised as the victim. While taking a walk outside his flat, Chaudhary was reportedly attacked by unknown individuals on motorbikes. He was rushed to the hospital and died while receiving treatment.
