After the release of ‘Gadar-2’ and ‘OMG-2’ on 11th August, everyone’s attention was on which film would win at the box office. If we look at the first day collection figures, ‘Gadar-2’ topped the chart, while ‘OMG-2’ earned very less. Now the figures of the second day of both the films have come to the fore.
‘Gadar 2’ second day box office collection
The Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma starrer collected Rs 40 crore on Day 1. The film earned around 45 crores on the second day. The film has crossed the 85 crore mark at the domestic box office in two days. It is expected that the film will cross the mark of around 175 crores in the five-day weekend.
OMG 2 box office collection on day 2
Starring Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam in lead roles, the film collected around 10 crores on the first day. According to a report in Saknilk, the second day collection of the film is 15.30 crores. Overall the film has earned 25.30 crores in two days. The film is likely to get the benefit of the big weekend as well.
‘Gadar-2’ and ‘OMG-2’ are sequels of his previous films. The film “Gadar Ek Prem Katha” released 22 years ago, while “OMG” released in 2012. At present, the magic of the sequel of both these films is going on at the box office.
