SP leader arrested in Etawah for making lewd remarks against PM Modi on social media

Etawah, August 13: SP leader Manish Yadav alias Patre, who had made vulgar remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi on social media, was arrested by the police on Sunday from Etawah district of Uttar Pradesh. Illegal pistol, live cartridges and other material have been recovered from him.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sanjay Kumar Verma told reporters that a case has been registered under sections 153A, 505(02) and 67A of the IT Act at Chaubia police station against Manish Yadav, who made indecent comments on the prime minister through social media and posted objectionable videos.

After registering the case, the police was looking for Manish Yadav. On the information of the informer, police station Chaubia police and crime branch team jointly went to raid Manish Yadav’s village Nagla Mardan this morning, then he tried to run away by firing.

After this the police team laid siege and arrested him. Police have recovered an illegal pistol, two live and two hollow cartridges, two mobiles and cash of one thousand rupees from Manish Yadav.
