Mainpuri, 29 Aug: A 32-year-old conductor of a UP state transport bus, who along with the driver was suspended for allegedly allowing two passengers to offer namaz after halting the vehicle for minutes on the Bareilly-Delhi national highway enroute to Delhi on June 3, has killed himself by jumping in front of a running train in Mainpuri.
Mohit Yadav went missing on Sunday night and his body was found on the railway tracks near his house the other day. Mohit belonged to Nagla Khushali under Ghiror police limits in UP?s Mainpuri. He worked as a contractual employee with UPSRTC for over eight years and used to get a monthly salary of about Rs 17,000.
His services, which were first suspended, were quickly terminated following the event since he was on contract, as opposed to driver KP Singh, who was a transport firm employee. Singh is still suspended, yet he keeps his job with a 50% pay reduction.
A close acquaintance remarked after Mohit died, “He had no money and was struggling to make ends meet.” Both the driver and the conductor were suspended with “immediate effect” on June 5. “Mohit’s body was discovered on the rail track by GRP officials and has been sent for autopsy,” said SHO (Ghiror) Bholu Singh Bhati. “No complaint has been filed as of yet.”
Mohit had probably communicated with his close buddy just before his demise.
“We used to work together,” his pal stated, requesting anonymity. He had no money to even recharge his phone when he contacted me on Sunday night. He stated that despite filing an appeal, he had little prospect of regaining his employment. Mohit has recently become depressed as a result of the attitude of (UPSRTC regional manager, Bareilly) Deepak Chaudhary.”
When asked about it, Chaudhary stated, “We suspended him after a social media complaint.” The video (namaz) was self-explanatory. Mohit has the
option of filing an appeal. Something else might have caused his death.”
