In CPI (Maoist) case, NIA searches eight locations in 5 districts of UP

Lucknow, 05 Sept: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) searched eight places in five districts of Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday as part of its continuing investigation into a Naxal case.

The raids are taking place in the Uttar Pradesh districts of Prayagraj, Varanasi, Chandauli, Azamgarh, and Deoria.

According to anti-terror agency authorities, the raids were carried out Tuesday “in connection with NIA Case no. RC- 01/2023/NIA/LKW revival of NRB of CPI (Maoist) case.”

Multiple NIA teams conducted simultaneous searches at all eight sites, which are the suspects’ homes and offices.

This NIA operation, conducted in close collaboration with the Uttar Pradesh Police, coincides with the coordinated operations initiated against the Maoists in all of the country’s Left Wing Extremist impacted states.
