Kanpur road rage case: New angle in the deadly attack on a drug dealer, police files another case

Kanpur, 01 October: The dispute between the drug dealer and the BJP councilor is worsening. A new twist has come in this matter. Based on the complaint of the woman councilor, the police have registered a case against the Thar driver and his associates under serious sections including molestation on the basis of the vehicle number.

Due to such action, questions have also been raised on the working style of the police.

On the other hand, the family of the victim drug dealer has met Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and pleaded for justice. The Chief Minister has assured of treatment and justice for the injured businessman.

Based on the complaint of the BJP councillor, the police of Raipurwa police station has registered a report under the section of molestation, abusing, threatening to kill, vandalism as well as reckless driving on the basis of the number of the Thar vehicle.

While the Police Commissioner kept asking for evidence repeatedly, the BJP councilor and his supporters have not been able to provide any evidence till now. The BJP councilor has claimed in front of the media that she has been molested and abused.

It is noteworthy that a case under serious sections has been registered against five people including BJP councilor husband. In which an FIR was registered in Raipurwa police station against councilor husband Ankit Shukla, Satendra Bajpai, Ankur Singh, Suraj Tiwari and Ashashvi Shukla, accused of assaulting Shyam Nagar resident Sardar Amoldeep Singh. The FIR was earlier registered under sections 324, 354, 147, 148, 149, 504 and 506.

But after the medical report and statement of the doctors, section 326 of assault with a dangerous weapon, section 148 of assault with a weapon that endangers someone’s life, section 149 of unlawful assembly and creating ruckus was added.

Along with this, a reward of Rs 25 thousand was announced. Then the five accused including the councilor husband surrendered in the Police Commissioner’s office.

It is noteworthy that the car of Yashoda Nagar resident BJP councilor Soumya Shukla and her husband Ankit Shukla collided in front of GT Road City Club on September 24.

It is alleged that the councilor’s husband and his goons pulled medical businessman Amoldeep Singh Bhatia, who was traveling in a Thar jeep, from the car and beat him to such an extent that both his eyes were damaged and he was in a dying condition. When the hospitals of Kanpur gave up, his family members hurriedly took him to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi by air ambulance. He is undergoing treatment in ICU.

According to doctors, he has serious injuries in both his eyes. At present, there is no threat to life.
