Lucknow, 10 October: Many departments of the state are being run through e-office. Under this, the state government has directed to upgrade the SIMs of CUG numbers used in Uttar Pradesh Police. Due to this, policemen will get high speed mobile data and the problem of network failure will also be solved.

Following the instructions given by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in the meeting of the Home Department, now preparations have been started to give 4G SIMs to police officers and employees instead of their 3G SIMs.

In this regard, officials of the Director General of Police Headquarters have directed Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL). After getting fake SIM, policemen can be connected at high speed. They will get more data than before and their connectivity will also be better, which will help in curbing crimes.

It is noteworthy that UP Police officers and employees have been working with 3G SIM for many years. Now technical problems have also started arising in it. Due to changes in mobile technology, 5G will soon be used.

At the same time, due to the 3G SIM currently being used, one has to face network problems at many places, which can be resolved with this initiative.

Apart from this, according to TRAI guidelines, mobile service provider companies will have to give priority to calls coming from the CUG of the police.

For example, if a major incident occurs at some place, there is a gathering of police and administration officials and employees along with the general public, then the BTS present there gets jammed due to the large number of calls.

In view of this problem, TRAI has directed mobile service providers to give priority to calls made from CUG SIM of police, so that in case of emergency, there is no delay in emergency services.
