Don’t panic if platelet count is low
Civil Hospital’s Dr. N.B. Singh said that the virus of dengue fever spreads from one affected person to another healthy person through this mosquito. The virus quickly enters the body.
Dr. N.B. Singh said that on the advice of the doctor, one can take paracetamol medicine to reduce fever. To prevent dehydration in the body, consume fluids and ORS solution as per requirement.
He told that the patient does not need to panic due to low platelet count. If the patient’s platelet count is above 60000, then about 95 percent of the patient becomes healthy by maintaining his diet, hydration and taking paracetamol in fever.
