Lucknow, 26 October: The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has completed the layout of the double basement parking near Atal Bihari Bajpayee Ekana Stadium to be built at a cost of Rs 61 crore 45 lakh.
LDA has completed the search for land for construction of parking in an area of 6898 square meters. This parking will be built in the CBD area of Sector 7 Gomti Nagar Extension. Also, a park will be built above the parking lot. Upper basement and lower basement will be built below. There will be ample space for parking around 200 two wheelers and around 450 cars.
In view of the international cricket match at Ekana Stadium, LDA has planned to start the parking work soon and complete it in the financial year.
LDA Vice President Indramani Tripathi including all the officials , Secretary Pawan have approved the plan by holding a meeting for parking.
After the parking space at Ekana Stadium became small, the need for bigger parking was the need of time. Residents of local apartments and colonies have expressed happiness over the initiative of LDA to reduce the situation of vehicle parking and jam around the cricket stadium.
