Lucknow: Finish the under-construction flyover at Munshi Pulia, Khurramnagar intersection by January-end: PWD Minister

Lucknow, 26 October: Public Works Minister Jitin Prasada inspected the flyover under construction at Munshipulia intersection and Khurramnagar intersection on the national highway.

During this time he also inspected the casting yard at the Polytechnic Ground. Prasada instructed the officials to complete the flyover by the end of the coming January at any cost.

The Public Works Minister said that the scheduled date for completion of Munshi Pulia Flyover is 06.09.2024, but the target has been set to complete this work before time in January 2024 itself.

The Minister apprised that an estimate of Rs 120 crore has been sent to the Government of India for the construction of a flyover at the Engineering College intersection. It is likely to get its approval soon. The length of this flyover is proposed to be 890 meters and width is 22.50 meters.

Jitin said that the construction work of the flyover at Munshipulia intersection is being done at a cost of Rs 135.56 crore. In this flyover, provision has been made for 1400 meter long elevated viaduct and 460 meter long approach road on both sides and 3720 meter service road for the convenience of local traffic.

He said at present, casting of girder is being done at a fast pace, for which casting yard has been established in Polytechnic Ground. For the convenience of traffic at Khurramnagar intersection, work is being done at a cost of Rs 200.66 crore, along with the provision of 1336 meter long elevated flyover and 375 meter long approach road on both sides, 3422 meter service road for local traffic.
