Meerut, 01 November: In Meerut, on Karva Chauth, the wife came with her husband for shopping and meanwhile eloped with her brother-in-law. She also took her 16 month old son with her. The distressed husband met the Superintendent of Police (SP) Dehat on Wednesday and urged to recover his wife.
A woman from a village in Jani police station area had come to Meerut three days ago with her husband for Karva Chauth shopping. After shopping, the woman ran away with her brother-in-law along with her 16-month-old son.
The distressed husband is searching for his wife, but nothing is found. The husband became upset due to his wife’s infidelity on Karva Chauth and is making rounds of the police to get his wife back.
On Wednesday, the distressed husband met SP Dehat Kamlesh Bahadur in Meerut.
The husband gave a complaint letter to SP Dehat alleging that his wife was having an affair with his brother-in-law. He himself used to observe the fast of ‘Karva Chauth’ for the long life and prosperity of his wife. Even after his wife went away with her brother-in-law. He also kept a fast on Wednesday so that they get punished for their actions. Even after the complaint, the police did not take any action.
SP Dehat instructed Jani police station to recover the absconding wife.
According to Jani SHO Prajant Tyagi, the police is busy searching for the absconding woman. She will be recovered soon. This matter remains a topic of discussion in the area.
