Pollution at dangerous level in Delhi-NCR as AQI recorded at 426, Delhi likely to receive light rain in next 2 days

New Delhi, 9 November: The pollution level in Delhi and its surrounding areas was also recorded in the ‘severe’ category on Thursday. For the last several days, the country’s capital is facing serious threat of pollution. It is becoming difficult for people to breathe due to stubble and vehicle smoke.

According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the average air quality index in Delhi was recorded around 426 in the morning. Whereas on Wednesday the average air quality index was recorded at 426 and on Tuesday it was recorded at 395.

According to CPCB, AQI is 432 in Anand Vihar, Delhi, 453 in RK Puram, 444 in Punjabi Bagh, ITO 441, 425 in ASIT Dwarka, 462 in Dwarka Sector 8, 451 in Najafgarh, 445 in IGI Airport, 427 in Mundka, Pusa. 428 have been recorded. AQI 387 was recorded in Lodhi Road.

It is noteworthy that Group-4 restrictions are in force to prevent pollution in Delhi. Schools have also been closed from today till 18th November.

For the last several days, the people of Delhi have been in trouble due to dangerous pollution. However, the people of the capital are going to get relief on November 10. The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted light rain in Delhi and surrounding areas on November 10.

According to the Meteorological Department, due to western disturbances, there is a possibility of rain in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand in the next two days. Its effect can be seen in the plains, too. That means there may be light rain in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Delhi on November 10. With this, the wind speed will remain high for the next two days after November 10.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain on the southern peninsula for the next two days. There is a possibility of heavy rain in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Goa, and coastal Karnataka in the next 24 hours. Rain will start reducing in these states on November 11.

He said, along with this, there is also a possibility of snowfall in the western Himalayan region. That means there is a possibility of rain in Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, and Himachal Pradesh from November 8 to 10.
