Yogi govt to launch drive to increase attendance in BASIC schools

Lucknow, 09 November: The Basic Education Department is going to run a special drive to increase the average attendance of children in the schools of Uttar Pradesh by 10 percent.

In this, all the teachers have been instructed to continuously monitor the attendance of every child and to constantly contact the parents, adopt multi-dimensional strategy to increase the attendance, so that their educational achievement level can also be increased.

In the order issued by Director General, School Education Vijay Kiran Anand, instructions have been given to all basic education officers to conduct the campaign as per the guidelines.

It says that teachers should analyze the root causes of low attendance of children, develop close relationships with children, pay special attention to attendance through inspection and monitoring and under the outreach program, hold meetings with parents, Gram Panchayat, home Run a campaign to increase the attendance of students by organizing visits and education chaupals.
