A video of Nana Patekar is going viral on social media, in which it is seen how he slapped back side of the head of a fan who came out of the blue to take a selfie with him in Varanasi.

After his video went viral, netizens expressed their displeasure. It was also said that Nana’s behavior towards the fan was wrong. In such a situation, Nana himself has given clarification on this entire matter.

Nana Patekar said, โ€œA video is going viral in which I am hitting a boy. This scene is a part of our film. We rehearsed. One rehearsal was done, then the director asked for another rehearsal. Just as we were about to leave, the boy seen in this video arrived there. I didn’t know who this guy was, I thought he was from our team. So as per the scene I hit him and said my dialogue. โ€œLater I realized that this boy is not from our team.โ€ Then I was going to call him, but he ran away. It is possible that his friend may have shot this video.

He further said, โ€œI have never said no to anyone for a photo. I took thousands of photos here too, the ghats in Varanasi are very crowded. It happened by mistake, I don’t know where it came from, I shot the rehearsal scene thinking it was some guy from our team. If this video has caused any misunderstanding then I am sorry, I never hit anyone like this, I have never done that till date. People love me a lot, so I would never do such a thing.โ€

Nana said, โ€œI felt I had hit him, so I asked the team to call him and apologize to him. The team tried hard to find him, but could not find him. He was in the middle of rehearsal, so he must have thought that these people could beat more, so he ran away. Really I’m sorry, I never behave like this. People help a lot during crowd shooting on the ghats. Nana Patekar said, we will shoot there for the next 10-15 days.
