Israel:Netanyahu’s Party fails to get a majority in the election for the second time

Jerusalem, Sept.19 : Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is once again got disappointed in the election. Netanyahu’s Likud Party failed to get a majority in the election for the second time within five months.

Netanyahu’s party has won only 31 seats, while his main rival Blue and White has won one seat more than his party.

Talking of both major alliances in the election, the left wing has got 56 seats while the right wing led by Netanyahu has got 55 seats. In such a situation, the way of forming a coalition government in Israel seems to be imminent. In Israel, it is necessary for any party to get 61 seats to form a government.

Since the voting in Israel on Tuesday, there were speculations that Netanyahu’s party is not doing any better this time. 

According to the Times of Israel, the blue-and-white party of 69-year-old Netanyahu’s Likud and the middle-class former military chief Beni, challenging him, could win only 31 and 32 seats out of 120 seats. In such a situation, the possibility of forming a coalition government has increased in Israel facing political instability.
